Hi all,

  I’m new to dot net nukes, and dot net in general, so I could use a hand.  I’ve been a J2EE developer for a few years, but I would also like to learn .NET.  I’m creating an invoicing/quoting system for a friend’s company.  I have some standard business classes, and I would like to build a dot net nuke module interface, as well as a web service interface.  I’m unsure what to use for my data access.  I have 4 questions.

1. Can I create a web service that uses the dot net nuke authentication framework for authentication and permissions?
   
   
2. Is it possible to use the .NET AJAX toolkit when I create a module?  I’ve read about some issues in the forum.
   
   
3. I’ve gone through the tutorials here http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/.  They give me a good understanding of how everything is structured, but now I want to create my own custom module to manage the inventory.  How do I link my interface to the controller for my module and still use all of the security framework that dot net nukes provides?
   
   
4. Is the data source transactional?  I want every operation to complete successfully before a commit.

I’m using Visual Studio 2005 professional as my IDE.  Thanks in advance for helping a noob.
