Hi all

I am a very beginner in writing modules for dnn and I guess I could need some help.
First of all i installed the latest dnn starter kit with the templates for modules. I then created all the files (add -> new item -> dnn module) and renamed all folders to the modules name. Then I took the 01.00.00.sqlDataProvider and executed it in the dnn admininterface. I tried the same with modulename.sqlDataprovider (modulename stands for the modulename :D), but it failed.

All I want is a blank module, that is working, so i can include the functionality. I know micheals tutorial, but I still don't know what to do.

thanks for your help
sra

What do I have to do with the ModuleName.sqlDataProvider (which contains stored procedures)? I get that file, when I create a new module with the dnn starter kit.

Have you tried this tutorial:

Super-Simple Module (DAL+)

it is very short and simple and should get you started better than the other tutorials.
