I'm having a problem when I open the sln file of the newest version of dnn. Everytime I got this 2 kind of errors several times and that do not allow me to develop a module with dnn.

The errors that I'm getting are these:

  • The application for the project 'http://localhost/dotnetnuke_2' is not installed. Make sure the application for project type () is installed.
  • The application for the '<app root>\library\Dotnetnuke.Library.vbproj' is not installed. Make sure the application for the project type (vbproj) is installed.

I have searched some foruns but until now without any help.

I appreciate any help possible on this.

Are you trying to open it up in VS2005? Do you have IIS installed?

I have the VS2005, IIS, Windows Server 2003, you name it. I'm using a exact replic of the true server for development (main border reasons) and in this server I have everything necessary for a DNN work and for developing modules for DNN. But I have downloaded the latest version of DNN and haven't, so far, been able to even open it.

I'm open to any ideas to make this work.

Since I tryed about everything for making this work I tryed to unistall and reinstall all the VS2005 again and it works. I installed full and since then have been able to open the project and work with it.
