Hi all,

I have to migrate an excisting website to DNN because they wanted to add chinees as a language. (using dnn 4.40)
I have a question about the dnn database structure.
In the current situation the database has a Product, ProductGroup and a ProductSubgroup Table.

I need to make a module where from a dropdownbox the main productgroup can be selected.
Based on that choice a next dropdownbox should present the productsubgroups.
After selecting that all the products of that subgroup should be showed.

All this must be multiLanguage through i guess a locale field.

What is best practise? Im not experienced in DNN but i never saw a module with more than 1 table hanging to it...
Should i still have 3 tables with relationships or should i put everything in 1 table?

Thanks in advance,
Paul Spann

There is no limitation to the number of tables your module can connect to.  DotNetNuke shouldn't have any influence on the design of your tables.  So I would choose the route that makes more sense.  Just know that it's very well possible to connect to more that one table and to have relationships between them.

Thanks for your reply.
I understand that part now.

Now I have to create a multilanguage website.
Is all i have to do to achieve that, add a 'locale' field to the database?

Or are there more actions i have to take to achieve this.
