This is a free module which works for both DotNetNuke versions 3 & 4.

Details about the module can be viewed here.

The download includes the code and can be downloaded here.

Thanks for this Doug. I'm a little unsure how it works/what it's for.

I have a requirement to use a template that contains 1 master tab and 8 Child Tabs to add new Tabs and Modules all under an existing ParentTab. All new Tabs need to include modules from each of the Parent and Child Tabs in the Template.

Could I somehow use use this to generate these new Tabs and Modules?

Using batch files is probably more for the old-timers like me.  If you have things that you would normally do from a command line, you might be able to use this module.  A simple example would be a "MyBatch.bat" file that contains the MS-DOS Command "DIR" (and this is a safe one to experiment with).

You can delete, copy, move and rename files.  You can even compile your DNN Modules.  Utmost care should be taken when running .bat files because mistakes could render you site inoperable.  This is why the code only allows "SuperUsers" to run a batch file.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the module.  I have not tried it yet, but I think it will open many closed doors for me.  One question, Is there any time limitation on the time that the batch command will take to complete?  for example, I have a batch file that will take 20-30 minutes to complete, how your module will handle that?

Thanks again for your contribution.
