I haved released a new version of SQLGridSelectedView that improves the Style Expressions. Style Expression allow the user to conditionally apply CSS Styles to rows and now columns within the displayed datagrid. These new features were suggested and/or requested by many users so I was obliged to implement this new release. Many thanks to all.
Here is are the changes to the Style Expressions:
1) Allow setting styles of specific columns
eg. IF [cost] > "100.00" SETCOLUMN [cost] AS NormalRed
- will set column cost to CSS Style NormalRed when cost > 100.00
2) Support "like" operator:
eg. IF [message] LIKE "*error*" SET NormalRed
- will set row to NormalRed is message contains "error" in message
- "*" match one or more characters
3) Support column to column compare
eg. IF [cost] > [price] SETCOLUMN [cost] AS NormalRed
- if cost > price for row then cost will have NormalRed style applied
4) Perform numeric compare when values are numeric
- in the example above if the cost and price values are numeric then a numeric compare is used.
This release also corrects several minor issue - check out the download page at www.tressleworks.ca for complete details.
For those who are wondering what SQLGridSelectedView does... this FREE module allows the user to generate customized DataGrid displays based on SQL Select statements or Store Procedures. A complete user guide is avaliable that includes a Quick Sample for getting the feel for the features of the module.
Enjoy, Paul.
