Hi All,

I like the look of this module - I need to send Newsletters to 2000+ users on PokerDIY and I keep getting blacklisted on SpamHaus even tho they are opt-in etc.

I was trying Datasprings OptIn Mail module, and this module looks similar (I have a subscription to OnyakTech). So my main requirement would be to make a newsletter (just like the simple core one) and then say send 100 every 2 hours until all users in a role have been notified. This would hopefully reduce the chances of me getting blacklisted for spam.

I get the impression this is possible?

Nuke A.lert v1.0 (BETA) has been published to the Members download on www.Onyaktech.com

There are three modules:

  • NukeA.lert (Core): Use this module to administer all campaigns
  • NukeA.lert Viewer: Use this module to allow visitors to view past mailings
  • NukeA.lert OpIn: Use this module to allow visitors to subscribe or unsubscribe from a campaign

The feature request to allow only SuperUsers the ability to publish the mailings to a Role that exists in all portals has been added to the module.

The user manual is almost ready...we'll publish soon.  I'll make templates available for download from the Free Downloads page on www.OnyakTech.com to help you get going fast and to provide an idea of the power this module will give you.  Enjoy!

Internally we typically limit our clients to 1000 automated emails (class updates, tageted mailings etc) per day and reccommend them to a service like constant contact for the big jobs (some have memberships of 50,000+.) Is there a way to set caps on the maximum distribution list size so a client doesn't destroy our mail servers for hours at a time and get our IP's blacklisted? Also it would be nice to target an alternate mail server than the DNN install uses in our case DNN uses the internal MS Mail Server but we've got a dedicated mail server that is far more capable for sending larger mailings. Also does the Newsletter mod provide any level of list management (Opt Outs, Undeliverables, etc)

It appears as though the mail limit/scheduling was not added in this version. This is my prime requirement too as I keep getting blacklisted.
