I've created a basic REST API for DotNetNuke.  This is a prototype API to explore the concept and issues surrounding REST APIs with DotNetNuke, which uses the DotNetNuke framework to produce results for pre-defined API calls in the REST style.

Interested readers can look at the full article at the blog entry Building a REST API for DotNetNuke

The blog article shows examples of how the REST API works and explores how to extend the API for Third Party modules.

Amazing, great news. I wrote some code against the REST based Google Calendar API within the last days, and it was fun. I appreciate having a REST API also inside DotNetNuke. SOAP is sometimes so painfull, I think REST would fit much better to DNN.
