UserDefinedTable (UDT) 3.5.1 has been released today and can be obtained from our project's download page. List of changes since UDT 3.4.0:

  • New Features:
    • New data type "Link to User Profile" added, allowing to select a user from current portal's user base and create a link to his profile.
    • Added an option for Grid View to limit the number of records returned (Integer between 1 and 1000).
    • New Option in Module Settings: Limit Records per user (1...1000) can be used as a user quota, based on "CreatedBy" value.
  • Enhancements:
    • Default values for newly created fields are now added also to existing Rows.
    • XSL transformation exceptions now get reported to the portal event log.
    • Values for Image Width, image height and top count are now validated client side in ManageTable.
    • Links to internal pages are now use breadcrumbed page path as caption.
    • Searching Fields of type URL, Download, Email, Image and UserLink (including createdBy, ChangeBy) is now done in visible text instead of HTML, while URL can optionally be included in search.
    • Fixed MakeThumbnail not to be case-sensitive, when checking for "\portals\" in image file path.
    • Options for specifying Sort Direction and CSS Class in ManageUDT are now rendered as RadioButtonList.
    • There is now a new option to render "created by" and "updated by" columns as links to User's profile.
  • Tasks:
    • Naming conventions for hidden columns of URL types have been harmonized, please check out documentation. Note: this might be a breaking change for some existing enhanced setups using Hidden Columns with links for calculations, filter or XSL rendering.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • FireFox: OnChange of FieldType now alters correctly Advanced Column Option dialog
    • Now hidden columns are generated for columns with visible="false"
    • Hidden "*_UDT_Value" columns for numeric and date/time values are now formatted correctly according to user locale (thread UI culture) instead of System locale.
