Hello all ....

I have just release Version 5.2 of SQLGridSelectedView available at www.tressleworks.ca -- this version is available to all that subscribe to the site (30 days access is $10)    However Version 4.1 is available for free.

SQLGridSelectedView is a SQL Grid generator module that contains many filters and presentation options to configure the display.  Take a look, you may find that this module will at least save you $10 of effort in the first day ..

The following are the changes and corrections made:

1)  Combination Drop Down Filter Textbox - aka ComboBox -  This feature will allow users to enter a value instead of picking a value from the drop down list .

2)  Many new substitution strings available - I have created a list and added an appendix to the User Guide to detail all the substitution strings available.  Basically, the new substitution are the similar to those available in the HTML/Text Module when enabled.

3) Export when SSL enabled is working now.  Well I don't have a way to test this local, but I have been told it now works.

4) Corrected an issue with cached User Info that caused the [DNN:UserID] to report incorrect user

5) Corrected several minor bug in the SQL Parser related to Group by / Order by processing

6) Added support for Export to Excel via HTML.  Resulting spreadsheet is better looking and embedded HMTL is handled by Excel.

7) Added the ability to hide columns -- actually define what columns are to be placed in the Export.  The default is all columns.

8) Template files will support support the "-" to indicate no file to be used.

9) Corrected several minor bugs on the Selection form such as Grid Option not expanded  when "Expand all" click.  Checking the Remove box on a filter did not clear the Enable box ... etc/

Enjoy ..
Paul

Thanks, Paul ... not only the new release, but a 70 page user's manual, too!

One of the "really good" modules out there. Two thumbs up! A very useful utility for long-running reports, as well a short task-oriented reports for things like clean-up tasks that last a few weeks or days. So easy to use for simple quick and dirty purposes but lots of config possibilities for more durable and elegant uses.

Anyone that has a need to show contents of tables or results of any SQL query will find this module an ideal tool.
