We have used the DNN paging control in developing several DNN modules and found several problems:
1.) Page changes use an anchor to call the same page so you loose all the viewstate information.
2.) You can not have more than one control on a page or they all respond.
3.) There are no events fired so the code is a little confusing if you have sortable grid events and other event driven post backs.

We have built a new version of the control that uses post backs and events and maintains your viewstate. We are selling the control on both

Our hope is others will start releasing DNN controls for developers so we can make it easier to develop great DNN modules
