We have release some updates to our Outlook Sync module.

DNN Module Outlook Sync

Outlook Sync - Advanced Two Way  Syncing from DNN to Outlook and back with NO CLIENT SIDE SOFTWARE.

This module is perfect for:
  • Membership Sites
  • Management of DNN Users
  • Sharing Outlook Contacts without an Exchange Server
  • Updating User Data
  • Linking Membership Data to your Email Application
  • Linking Membership Data to Phone Applications

This  DotNetNuke Module that replicates the SharePoint linking function into Outlook, from a DotNetNuke website. Users only need to click on the link to open up a synchronized connection between the DNN portal and their Outlook Contacts. Then all the user accounts of the DNN website are imported as Outlook contact files. It does this without any special software to install at the client (outlook) end.

TWO WAY SYNC - No Client Side Install

Features and Requirements:

Simple Concept

The link relationship once created will remain updated. So if a DNN website user updates a phone number of other profile data, then the Outlook contact record corresponding to their record is updated.

No Client Software
All you need to run this module is a DNN website and MS Outlook. There is no additional software to install on the client side.

Auto Mode
The module deploys with a preconfigured mapping of the logical DNN profile fields to Outlook Contacts. e.g. First Name is mapped to First Name, Phone Number to Phone Number etc.

So "out of the box" the module will do what you would expect in the way of linking.

Manual Mapping
Manual module allows you to select what custom profile items from DNN and link them into the Outlook contact records, including the mapping to the comments field. What this does is open up the possibility to use the module like a membership management module.

For example, if you use DNN to manage a membership site that includes a member number, you can map that field to the contacts synced into outlook. Making it easy to use the Outlook search tools to find a user and open their details in Outlook.
