Implementing Responsive Framework on your website is not only about adjusting screen resolutions – but also all the other media in your page including images and Videos. We therefore need to look at the design in a new way.


Design Once, Display on all Devices and Operating Systems
Responsive CSS Framework design is a modern solution in reaching both mobile and desktop users with a single website content. This approach dictates that design and development of the site should be done in a way that the pages can respond to the user’s behaviour and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation. The practice consists of a mix of flexible grids and layouts, images and an intelligent use of CSS media queries. So whatever the end user is using, laptop, Android device, iPad etc… the website will automatically switch to accommodate for resolution, image size and scripting abilities of the device and browser it runs on. Therefore should have the technology to automatically respond to the user’s preferences. This new approach eliminates the need to have dedicated micro sites for various devices and screen sizes. 

In addition to this, DNN has also ability to send certain users that are not compliant with this approach to a specific page. For example this platform at the moment does not cover Windows Mobile Phones - It is not a big issue as most of these phones can manage larger format and their number is still less than 1% of the overall mobile market. However in time as the skin gets updates it will be able to cover newer phones in the market. Currently most of the Android, iOS and Blackberries are conforming to this platform.

  1. Please choose a web safe colour from the list of colours in the list.
  2. Salaro Team will produce a visual of the chosen colour and we send it to you for approval
  3. Once approved we will send the skin pack with the chosen colour back to you.
  4. The cost for the custom colour with above procedure is $150 or 130 Euro.

We have tested our themes to ensure they are compatible with all the modern web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer on Desktops, iOS, Chrome and Blackbury. However, if you have a specific smartphone requirements then please test the demo site before purchase
Complete source code in HTML


Complete source code for all skin components. Skins are HTML rather than ASCX and it allows you to easily change the design if you wish using DreamWeaver/FrontPage. This approach ensure better upgrade to future DNN versions. The mobile solution is for one domain only. 
Tested in DNN 6.X


We've tested our skins in DNN 6.X which is the newest version of the DNN,The DNN 6.2.1 includes New Registration Options, Notifications, Journal and Social Groups. We guarantee that we will support the skin for future versions of 6.x 
Note
Responsive skins uses Media query and css3 properties which is supported by all the modern browsers like Firefox, chrome & IE 9. Older versions of IE doesn't support it.

Please note that All SalarO's Skins are HTML rather than ASCX and it allows you to easily change the design if you wish using DreamWeaver/FrontPage. The core builds the ASCX and therefore, it will have better upgrade potential for the next Major release since all you would need to do is to upload the skin and the next version of DNN will build a new ASCX.

Known Limitations
Please test on all browsers and satisfy yourself of the behavior before you purchase. we have tested it on IE9, FireFox, Chrome, Safari and Opera


 For Edit, IE 7 & 8 and chrome is ideal.

Please note that the skin is only for one domain. If you intend to use it on multiple sites, please ask for a quote. 

The package sold only comes with 3 colours and extra colours is at 150 USD

How to Upload DNN Skins & Containers :

Step 1...
Unpack the main zip file on your hard drive and you will see the various skins zips and container zip. Upload the skin zip and container zip to your portal via host -> Extensions -> you can upload the pack one by one We prefer that to the combine skin/container method

Step 2...
Check that the skins and containers are available when you add a page via page functions/settings/advanced settings and set the appropriate container and skin to the page.

Step 3...
You can also set a global skin and container to your site via admin/site settings and only change the skin type or container type when necessary on the page or on the module that requires a different one to the default skin/container..
