Magic News is...

...Easy to use

Entering new announcements can be as easy as entering a title and an announcement body. if you need more options, simply extend the Advanced options node and add a link to your announcement, enter a brief summary or edit the publishdate to hide the announcement until the publishdate is reached.

... the most flexible announcement module available

Every aspect of the module is displayed through a template system that offers a variety of static and dynamic localized token. Customize the look per tabmodule instance and give your announcements a distinctive look whereever you use it in your portal

Place on instance one a page in your portal and place another one on the frontpage of your portal to render the same announcements in a completely different layout.

...a true multi-language module

Select per announcement the locale of your content to only display announcements to your visitors in their language. The module also sends only e-mail messages in the language of the recipient (if subscriptions are enabled)

Every aspect of the module is fully localized!

...a great way to keep your visitors informed

If subscriptions are enabled, visitors can subscribe to your announcements. No matter if their registered users in your portal or regular visitors. You can even turn off subscriptions for anonymous visitors or turn the whole subscription system off. E-mail messages are completely localized and offer a simple one-click process to unsubscribe.

E-Mail notifications are controlled by the DotNetNuke scheduler and check per default every hour if new announcements are due to notification.

Recipients have the possibility to unsubscribe by using the One-Click Unsubscribe mechanism from within every notification message!

  • Attributes per Announcement: title. body, summary (optional), link (optional), publishdate (optional)
