Webiplex has created a sophisticated DMS package called
DocuPeak that is delivered with two DNN modules that integrate with our backend Web service. DocuPeak provides a standalone Web service which provides a complete DMS API (i.e. think FileNet or Documentum) that manages document indexing and an underlying document imaging sub/file system.
DocuPeak DNN modules and the backend Web service are capable of handling 10's of millions of documents and provides things like eCopy connectors, as well as an automated batch upload utility. Also, while the DocuPeak database can be created in the same database as DNN, it does not use the same DAL layer and thus the DNN modules talk directly to the DocuPeak Web service, not the DNN database via the DAL layer.
This means the installation and setup of the entire system is more complicated than a simple module download. If you'd like, we can host the Web service side for you, and you can install only the modules on your DNN installation.
DocuPeak comes w/ two modules:
1. DocuPeak Administration: A module to be added once per portal, on admin-only pages, which controls the setup of the underlying DocuPeak system for that portal.
2. DocuPeak View: A very configurable module that provides a functional view of a set of documents within DocuPeak.
Basically, if you've pushed the collaborative document modules that exist for DNN to their breaking point, or you're interested in integrating a document imaging (i.e. paper) solution for a DNN customer or your own DNN site, then it's worth checking out
Webiplex DocuPeak. There are few videos to check out there as well if you're interested.
Thanks in advance for your interest, and for the wonderful folks at DotNetNuke.com for approving this notice.
