Hi

I've setup the solution on my local machine as displayed in the sticky topic on this board.
However, when I open the solution, there is a problem.
In the providers project, upon build I receive errors as:

‘The type or namespace ‘Entities’ does not exist...’
the same goes for the Common entity etcetera.

When I check the references of the providers project, the reference to DotNetNuke.dll is correct, so I can't find out why this is giving an error.

Anyone had the same problem and knows a solution?
I'm trying to generate the category menu using listitems instead of a-tags with breaks :)

Hi Nico,

Did you install your dnn instance in the C:\DotNetNuke_2 folder?

Hi Gilles

I installed it into a different folder and changed the project and solution files, where I have replace all dotnetnuke_2 references to the new ones.
Then I opened the DotNetNuke.Store project, which opened the solution containing my correct website, so far, no problem.
Then I built the solution, giving me the errors described above.

When I work the other way around, opening the website. I can built the site, but the source code files I have modified are not used in my website. instead it keeps using the DLL files, which are not updated during build in this way.

If it is really necessary I will create a DotNetNuke_2 folder, but I was trying to maintain a certain logic in my foldernames ;)

Hi Nico,

It should works if you have modified all references! Can you try with the new release, may be something was wrong in your zip file. Donwload and install the source package, then correct references in the solution file. Do you use DNN with source as specified in this post?

You can't open directly the web site and modify the source code because the Store module use the WAP programming model. Only modules using the WSP model can be modified this way. You have to use the solution file provided.

Hi Gilles

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm not sure if I was using the DNN 'source' version. I think I installed it using the web platform installer, so that might be the issue.
I'll try it out on a clean setup using the source
