Hi,

First verify where you saved the localized button. As specified in the Templating Guide, if the 'Portal Templates' setting is checked in the Store Admin module localized buttons have to be saved inside ...Portals\n\Store\Templates\Images. Otherwise, they have to be saved inside ...\DesktopModules\Store\Templates\Images. Second, the Store module follow localization rules of DNN, to show localized buttons you must have the corresponding language (zh-CN) defined inside Admin > Language AND the visitor must select this language in the interface by clicking on the corresponding flag. You can also define this language as the default language or instruct DNN to detect the browser language. If you use only one language (default en-US) but you want display your buttons in Chinese, then simply override the addtocartimg_en-US.gif with the localized version.

After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Gilles,

Thank you very much for your help and you have done a great store! I have created a file called ProductDetail.ascx.zh-CN.resx in app_localResources folder and every item works but addtocartimg_{0}.gif and purchaseimg_{0}.gif. I have put these two files addtocartimg_zh-CN.gif and purchaseimg_zh-CN.gif in root portal template/images and also in store/templates/images. It still not change the images. Does {0} will be automatically replaced with zh-CN? Also another question, I set up gateway provider as emailprovider. After I checked out and I got the message saying that I will get email and contact something. But I have not received email yet. Should I still specify something else?

Thanks

Hy

Hi Hy,

Thanks! ;-)

May be I'm wrong, but it look you are new to DNN? If the images do not change when you click on the Chinese flag, it's probably because you do not have installed the Chinese Language nor a Chinese Language Pack. Please respond to my questions I will try to help you.
  1. Which DNN version do you use?
  2. Which Store version do you use? The last version 02.01.36 can be downloaded at Codeplex.
  3. Is a Chinese flag displayed at the top of your website?
  4. Did you installed the Chinese Language using Admin > Language?
  5. Do you know than you can found several Chinese language packs for DNN at this page? Use the more closer number version! You can use the Chinese Language Pack 5.0.1 with DNN 5.4.2 but it's possible than some resources are not translated. To finish or adapt the language pack, you can use the DotNetNuke Language Editor from the Admin > Language menu. Alternatively, you can use Visual Studio (including free versions) if you have installed DNN on your computer. Using VS is more quicker, then after you can create a package and upload it to your production website.
  6. Yes the {0} is replaced by the current locale code (zh-CN, en-US, ...).
  7. If you have not received an email at chekout it's probably because you do not have defined the SMTP settings under Host > Settings

Gilles,

Thank you very much! Now it works! I misplaced the images! That's why everything else works but these two images.  Again thanks!
