Im new to DNN but extremely excited about using it. So far i have managed to install it and i am toying around with modules.

Im trying out the store module as i know i can get clients if i make this work properly.
Everything wroks great with the store module, im very impressed with it. But i cant seem to get the paypayl payment set up.

When i try to check out after buying a mock $1 item, i get sent to paypal to finish paying for the goods. But i just get sent to the log in page of paypal.

I was hoping that the customer does not need to register with paypal, just pay with a credit card. I logged in to see if that was the issue, but it was not.

So how is this fixed? Have i made some mistake?

Thanks for your time!

I solved the problem myself, but will let this post be here to help others. The module works well. My mistake was that i tested the store with a customer account that used the same email as the email registered as the sellers paypal account. For paypal that would translate as myself sending myself money, so nothing happened. When i tested with a customer registered to the webstore with a unique email it worked. The buyer does not need to register with paypal to make a purchase.

HI Lautaro,

I am wondering if you might be able to help me, I am having real trouble getting the store to work with paypal and so are my customers, it has the same problem as you first listed but not the same solution it would seem.

I have set up the store and it works ok, takes you to the check out page and then to the page where it send s you to paypal but then it did just as yours did just sends me to the Paypal home page.

perhaps i have missed something in the set up... when I tried to set up the API permissions I cannot find an areas in the store module where it asked for the password and signature, the only thing it seems to ask for in my PayPal ID perhaps this is something to do with it...

I would really appreciate any help you could give me.

Thanks in advance

Peter

HI Lautaro, I have actually solved the problem myself... very annoying actually... three days I have been stressing over this and it turns out I had used my API ID where I should have used my Paypal ID, everything else worked with the API ID except the payment... crazy but relieving to fix it...
