Hello Gilles,

We're trying to get products to show on the initial Store page. Is this the function of Featured Products? We basically want the list of Categories in the left column and 4 or more featured products on the right. What do we need to do?

Thanks!

Hi Tracy,

What do you mean by 'initial Store page'? The catalog page or the website home page?

You can use the 'Featured Product' feature to display products in the 'Featured Products' section and to promote 'Products On Sale' (or Special Offer). If it's just a featured product, check the setting 'Featured' on the product detail form. If it's a 'Special Offer' check 'Featured' AND enter the new price and the dates of the promotion period.

If you don't want to display products from a predefined category, under Store Catalog > Settings uncheck the settings 'Use Default Category' and 'Display All Products' and check 'Show Featured Products'. This only 'Featured Products' will be displayed by default. The number of products displayed is controled by the settings 'Rows' and 'Columns' in the section 'Featured Product Settings'.

After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Bonjour Gilles. I did find the additional settings under the catalog mod settings.

I do have another question though...is there any way for me to select the specific related products I want to display on a product details page?

Merci!

Hi Tracy,

Sorry I was busy with my job!

The Store module do not have the typical "Related Products" feature. From the product detail page, you can have the "Featured Products" section displaying the featured products from the same category, or the "Also Brought" section displaying products already ordered by other visitors with the current product.
