I haven't been able to find an answer to this in previous posts. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough =|

When a buyer adds items to the shopping cart and attempts to checkout the buyer is forced to log in; how do you check out without logging in? Having to log in to buy something is a big turn off to many people.

Thanks,
chris

I am pretty sure you can offer this functionality to users of the Portal Store product.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm sure Portal Store does but it's a bit steep for my purposes, especially since the DNN Store module does everything I need except for this.

I did my own ecom module in PHP once, perhaps I ought to organize my time and help Robert Collins out, as he's done a great job.

Any chance of seeing it built into the Store module of DNN soon? This customer-friendly functionality is essential for small startups with very limited budgets for now. I know there're other ways, but I'm hoping to get going on this platform. I'm only speaking for myself, but I suspect there may be others who share my perspective.

One thing I think we all can agree on, is the need for a customer to enter their contact information at some point in the checkout process, so a solution could be to add a automatically user regitration during the checkout process, using the information the customer provides.

Use the build registration code/controls in DNN to do the auto registration, and decide to use either the customers email, phone no., or some other unique id as a username, and generate an random password, wich will be send to the cutomers email, during the registrationprocess.
