I've had previous posts on this issue but, as yet, have not found the solution for this problem.

When logged in as host or admin, I navigate to the pages submenu under the admin menu.  I see a blank page where I used to see this module that controlled navigation.  I may have inadvertently deleted this module.  I find the tabid for the admin pages page in the dbo.tabs table.  I see no corresponding child records in the tabs module table.  Can anyone provide me with some guidance on how to get this module back on the page?

Thanks,
JM

Which DNN version are you using?

Hello Sebastion,

I'm using version 05.05.01 (22), but, I've just figured out how to get the tabs module back.

Because I had 2 installs of DNN, one fresh and one (the one that was missing the tabs module) in production for a while, I was able to use the Create Package feature which I found in the fresh install to create a DNN Tabs install package.  I simply navigated to Host::Extentions and clicked on the edit icon next to the Tabs item in the Module section of that page.  At the very bottom of the next page labeled "Edit Extension" was a "Create Package" Icon.  I clicked on it and this process ended with a zip file which I was able to upload to my local machine.  The next step was to log in as host on  the production site, run the install wizard which installed from the local zip file I uploaded.  Then I added the module as I would any other module.

It took a half year but I finally got it.

Thanks for getting back to me.

John

John, I am glad you were able to solve it - I'd have another suggestion: there is a new tabs module with greatly improved usability, you may want to try. You may download it from http://dnnpageadmin.codeplex.com/

Sebastian,

I'll definately check it out.  At first glance it looks like I may be able to use it as a presentation aid when I have to explain the site to my group.

Thanks,
J
