I have a running, live version of DNN on my heb hosting server - and love it. But I am learning how to program in VS2005 (coming from PHP) - and would like to use the starter version. I own VS2005. Do I install the Starter Kit Version on my PC and work from that - or do I have to upload a new install of DNN to my web hosting server? I looked for docutmentation on this, like a "Developer Starters Doc" - but couldn't find one (though I am sure that if it were a bug, it would bite me). Any help / opinions would be great!

You develop offline, not using your server in production. You will write new modules or skins, test them and when you are ready you are going to install them on your public server.
