Hello All

I am looking for a solution to create a "news publishing" website and am investgating if DNN can do the job.  I realise that i am likely to need additional modules but none appear to answer all the criteria that i have so here are the criteria and if anyone can point me in the right direction i would be most grateful...

4 types of user...
Visitor (non registered can see certain info)
Subscriber (can view all published information and articles by category, can subscribe to

Hello,
    I think you will find that DNN could be used for just such an endeavor. There are several News Article type modules out there that would allow you to do what you are wanting. As far as user types go, you can set up as many different security roles as you would like.

It appears my original post was cut off so here goes the second half of my post...

4 types of user...
Visitor (non registered can see certain info)
Subscriber (can view all published information and articles by category, can subscribe to email notifications by category i.e. when something gets posted to categories that they are subscribed to they receive an email notification)
Publisher (as subscriber but can also publish articles)
Admin (site admin)

The challenge appears to be the email notifications BY CATEGORY...

I was also looking for more advanced user registration management:
Susbcriber - Is verified user registration
Publisher - Is paid verified/private registration with different subscription periods available for different prices..

Obviously i hope this is still as simple as you say but i am not sure :)
