I just recently started playing with DNN. I just installed it on one site for a friend who wanted to maintain her own site and i thought maybe DNN might be a good option for that. However, she did something and now the home page wont even load up:

default.aspx?tabid=36&error=Value+cannot+be+null.%0d%0aParameter+name%3a+type&content=0

thats the url that loads up and the only thing displayed on the page is 'an error has occurred'.

any idea what went wrong here? how do i find out what the error is? And what would be the easiest way to just start over from scratch if i dont care about losing any changes?

thanks in advance

Find out what exactly she did and we might be able to undo that. Otherwise, if you don't really care, then I would suggest blowing away your database and starting from scratch - please note that this means that unzip a copy of whichever version you're using of DNN (source, install, etc), modify release.config to correct database string, rename the file to web.config and then via the browser allow dnn to create the site again...

Unfortunately she's not sure what she did to cause it. Any ideas what she could have possibly done that would have done that? I'd like to try and avoid it in the future.

I'll just wipe the db and start over, there wasnt anything on the site.
thanks
