Hello, to all

I am a newbie of DotNetNuke and want to ask a question to you all.

I am in need to develop a intranet portal for a big organization, we are evaluating DNN 4.x and Microsoft SharePoint Services 2.0.

Actually I must understand some licensing issue (CAL, Client Access Licenses) with windows server 2003. I need a CAL whenever "an authenticated user exchange data between his client and the server. Anonymous Internet browsing doesn't need a CAL".

But does using DotNetNuke on a Intranet count as "authenticated browsing"? I simply don't know is the CAL limits apply while use a free solution like DotNetNuke.

Thanks again for any help

AFAIK CALs don't come into play with DNN and Win2k3. You may have licensing issues with Sharepoint (I don't know their licensing model), but DNN's license allows for nearly any use, and I believe a website, no matter if it's DNN or a custom app you write, works under the Anonymous Internet browsing.
