I'm planning on using DNN for a paid rental service and I want members to be able to update their settings however I don't want them to be able to delete their logins so I was wondering if it is possible to disable the Unregistered option from under the users settings. Or at least have it just disable the account rather than deleting it.

At the moment when I use Unregistered the account completely disappears and I'll loose all tracking of the stock that the ex member has and could wind up being short a few hundred dollars worth each time if I can't track it back.

I’ve been doing some more checking and when the Unregistered option is used it completely deletes the user from the database so this is a bit of a show stopper for me as the users complete details are removed and I’d have no way of tracking things back.

Bump.

Anyone got any ideas on this one? Everything else in DNN is great but this is a rather major problem that has stopped me dead in my tracks.

Have you looked at the option of hiding the button from the Edit User profile page.  Of course this may involve code change which may not be an option for you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may look at doing that. My preference is to not have to make any changes to DNN as this will be hosted by my ISP and whilst I will be giving him the initial copy of DNN he will be wanting to use it for other clients and I won't have the option to modify any future upgrades to include the same feature.
