So I am a .NET programmer, but I just dont have time to re-design my website. Was wondering the best place to look for a DNN website developer. I posted on Elance but it is hard to sort out who is good, and who is full of it. I have decided to go with DNN because when I finally get time to work on it, it will be easy for me to expand. Maybe we could start with a good skin, and some custom module development and go from there. If anyone could reccommend a reputable source I would love it. My post on elance was:
FOCUS
-----
Focus of website will be mainly to sell our Main Products (Live Lines, Expert Picks, possible future products as well) and attract advertising revenue.
Every subpage should be a teaser to sell one of our products. Strong focus on SEO for Google PR and strong alexa rating so we can sell advertising.
When designing the site please consider good placements for banner advertisements or website promotions in a seam-less manner.
AREAS
-----
- Lines.GJUpdate : Main hub for all of our line service products (Other sites who sell Line services are www.donbest.com, www.linetracker.com)
- Picks.GJUpdate : Main hub for all of our expert selection products (Other sites who sell picks are www.covers.com, www.jimfeist.com, www.donbest.com)
- Stats.GJUpdate : (Just the template with blank content is fine for now.)
- Forum.GJUpdate : DotNetNuke Forum module
- Blogs.GJUpdate : DotNetNuke Blog module
- Chat.GJUpdate : DotNetNuke Chat module (this may not be available yet and can lead to a construction page)
- Sportsbooks.GJUpdate : Preferred sportsbook pages (Other sites with this page http://www.covers.com/sportsbetting/top-sportsbooks.aspx)
- Poker.GJUpdate : (Just the template with blank content is fine for now.)
- Girl.GJUpdate : Picture gallery using a DNN module where we can change photos.
KEY POINTS TO SOME OF THE AREAS
-------------------------------
- Lines
- Advertising splash page
- FAQ, ReadMe, Version Info
- Subscribe, Renew, Install
- Picks
- Fucntionality to put hot cappers at the top of the list, to be displayed on the home page)
- User functionality to login and get picks
- Subscribe functionality using Authorize.net
- Full CMS to submit picks, including a login if we have guest handicappers
We are mainly looking for a good looking webdesign to start.
A skin and container package and building out the template for the areas listed above.
There will most likely be future projects for the successful bidder on specific custom module development.
** DotNetNuke Strongly preferred.
** Platform is IIS and .NET Framework 2.0 (non-negotiable)
** Sites that we like to get design ideas from (not to copy)
