Hello,

I am new to the DNN environment.  I am currently running 3.x.x and I am wanting to upgrade to 4.4.1.  I am trying to figure out exactly what version I am currently running, and can't seem to find it.  Is is right in front of me??  Thanks for the help.

log in as host and look at host settings menu item. Version number is listed at the top.

What if I don't have a host account?  In my list of users I only see an admin account.

As far as I know, when you are logged in as an admin user, you do not see the host user account's details - that account is a higher level than admin.  If you've never logged in as host, the password is probably still the default - either "host" or "dnnhost", depending on your version (which you dont know yet).  Its a good idea to change the host password as soon as you login - everyone knows the default password

A quick way to check the version of any DNN site to which you browse is to do a "view source" in your browser. The version should be visible in the "Generator" meta tag near the top of the source.
