Creating direct link to URL through “index.html” file?

Currently I have the following path to my webpage:
www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke/

The hosting company “re-invent” has placed an “index.html” file in the root, which I currently using as a link to they correct URL. Re-invent suggest I can remove the DotNetNuke folder (Moving all data under it to the root-directory) but I’m concerned that it will make a mess of all links and references on the web page.

Isn’t it possible to use a simple HTML “href” code for an automatic transfer to my DotNetNuke folder?
<div href="DotNetNuke/Default.aspx" /div>   ("Default.aspx" or "Default.aspx.vb" ?)

Cheers

Olle...

Sure you can.

If you want to link directly to the login page you can do this:

<a href="DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?ctl=login">Login</a>

Thanks for a prompt reply Antonio

I tried your link but  - I might stuff up something???

I get a blank page with a "Login" link in the upper left corner.

<a href="DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?ctl=login">Login</a>

I put your code in an "index.html" file and stuck this file in the root of the web page?

I got the first part working – now to the second portal?

(By the way, sorry Nina, this was mistakenly entered as reply to you.)

I’m working as host and has full access to currently 2 Portals.
www.mudgeerabahilltons/DotNetNuke
www.mudgeerabahilltons/DotNetNuke/connieolle

I have an “index.asp” file with the following code:
<%
Response.Redirect "http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke/"
%>

Can this string be modified to redirect “www,mudgeerabahilltons.com” to the first portal, and www.connieolle.com to the second portal?

Cheers

Olle.

Good Morning  Guys   -  I’m stuck

Still chasing the completion of the following code:
- ???  -Response.Redirect http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke/connieolle

Looking through w3schools listing, but I’m unable to find how to capture the browser address.
www.mudgeerabahilltons.com should direct like this: - (which it does.)
Response.Redirect "http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke"

Problem is to capture this address for direction to a different portal?
www.connieolle.com
- ???  -Response.Redirect "http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke/connieolle"

<html>
<body>
<form action="demo_reqquery.asp" method="get">
Your name: <input type="text" name="fname" size="20" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
</form>

<%
dim fname
fname=Request.QueryString("fname")
If fname<>"" Then
-Response.Redirect "http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke"

Else
-Response.Redirect "http://www.mudgeerabahilltons.com/DotNetNuke/connieolle"
End If
%>
</body>
</html>

Cheers
