Hi, I am looking for a DNN tool (module or otherwise) that would help me track the development of my projects (a project management tool, if you will.) I would like to be able to list my various project and post milestones and milestone dates, etc. and other project management functionalities.

I can't seem to find any such offerings in the core projects area. Does anybody have any recommendations of 3rd Party modules or tools?

Wow, OnyakTech, thanks for the recommendation! It indeed sounds like a really featureful product. It is a bit fancy for our purpose though . . . I just need a quick & simply tool to track our department projects for now . . . when the project scope of our software and application team grows later, I will certainly be look at it.

Or, if you have some basic html skills and want to save some money look at Xmod or Module Builder and build your own as simple or complex as you would like!
The nice thing about this option is once you have Xmod, Module Builder, ListX, etc.  you can use it to build anything you want or need on your site!
