I thought I had a good understanding of the DNN licensing until I heard Shawn speak on .NET Rocks.
Now I'm absolutely confused and it no offense to you Shawn, but it appears you were confused as well.
Can I create a derivate work, box it, and sell it or not?
On the DNN download page, the license states I can. However, in the interview, the first answer was "yes", but the second answer was "no".
The reason I ask is, my specific scenario. I want to use DNN as the foundation for an Intranet site that I plan on boxing and selling to a number of airports with custom modifications. The benefit to me of using DNN is the off the shelf third party modules, simple skinning, and that I can easily extend the functionality of the the site without compilation problems.
DNN is a fantastic framework for most scenarios. However, if I can't do this legally, I'll need to roll a custom ASP.NET app instead.
