I cover some AJAX features here:

  • Creating A DotNetNuke Module using ASP.NET AJAX
  • DotNetNuke ASP.NET AJAX Web Service (VB &C#)
  • DotNetNuke Secure ASP.NET AJAX Web Service
  • Using the ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit
  • The core is working on "WIKI type" documentation concepts to create more documentation and allow more people to contribute. Patience is required however.

The DotNetNuke® 4 Module Development Guide took 6 months to be released because it took time to have 6-8 Core members to read it and provide feedback and for revisions...

Wow, 6-8 months huh? THANK YOU IMMENSELY for your contribution on AJAX. Perhaps they should commission you to work on the documentation! Do you have any experience with Telerik AJAX and Editor? I tried implementing them in DNN but it didn't work for me. I followed their instructions to no avail. I'm quite new to AJAX and really only understand it in concept, not so much in code. Your posts will help I'm sure.

Sorry no. I use the built-in DotNetNuke controls (see: http://webcontrols.dotnetnuke.com/) and The AJAX Control Toolkit (see: http://ajax.asp.net/ajaxtoolkit/)

I just re-checked the dates and it was only 3 months. It "felt like" 6 haha

Oh, 3 months isn't so bad I guess. I'm sure they are busy people. However if I were literally waiting 3 months and needed it for a project, that would really drag. But like dealing with Microsoft, wait until the second version or so to commit right?
