Hi, I am trying to nail down some small issues I have with DNN.  I have 2 servers in a colocation environment.  One I use for Web serving, the other for mail serving.  On the Web server I have SQL 2000 and I also had SQL 2005 Express installed.  My DNN sites always had some intermittent issues with being slow or unresponsive especially when in Admin mode.

I thought it was becasue I was running out of RAM so I installed SQL 2005 (Full Version) onto my mail server and I moved the 2 DNN databases from my  Web server (SQL 2005 Express) over to my Mail server and shut down the SLQ 2005 Express services.  I managed to free up some RAM and the sites that I moved, started to work flawlessly.

I had 2 DNN installations still running on the SQL 2000 server both with several portals running.  I noticed that I still had the unresponsive issues with a site I was working on so I moved its database over to the mail server with SQL 2005 and all my problems with that DNN site went away.

Is there a reason DNN might work better on SQL 2005 than 2000?  Or should I be digging deeper into issues I may have with my SQL 2000 server.   I don't know how to tell what site may be causing the problems, is there a way of tracing a SQL problem back to a site?
