Hi,

I have a site that is accesible from both http://mydomain.com and http://www.mydomain.com which is great of course. But there is a problem since I use redirect on submitting several forms within the site.

All these redirects are targeted at www.mydomain.com-pages. When a user logs in from mydomain.com (without the www-prefix) this re-direct causes him/her to be logged out and promted to log in to the www.mydomain.com...

This will also be the problem if you have to similar www-adresses connected to the same site, listed as alias in site settings (example www.mydomain.com and www.mydomain.net).

Is this a bug in the DNN core or perhaps a side effect from the security?

I guess solving the problem could be done by re-directing everyone surfing in at mydomain.com to www.mydomain.com before they log-in?

Anyone else experiencing this problem that found a work-around?

/Sölve

I suggest to assign both site addresses to your web site in IIS configuration, but only add www.mydomain.com as portal alias to your DotNetNuke site. This will lead into the situation, that the default DNN portal (shall be www.mydomain.com) catches the call and automatically uses www for all subsequent addresses.
