When i was upgrading my site made in DNN3.2 (using source package) to DNN 4.5 ,i got configuration errors

I followed these steps

  1. Downloaded the source version 
  2. Unzip it in a folder
  3. Changes it's web.configfile   ( connectionstring,validationkey,descriptionkey,validation)
  4. Then copied this folder and paste on folder where my  site resides
  5. Then i browse my site, then i got these errors

     

plz help me

did you remember to change the asp.net version of your site to asp.net 2.0? DNN 4.5 will not run on ASP.NET 1.1

Yes I changed this.

I am still confused , plz advice me which steps should i follow??

Hello.

I would think that you should post your connection string in this thread.  I use SQL Express and was able to use the "traditional" connect string as opposed to the SQL Express one.  Anyway, if there is a problem with the syntax, or some other problem, posting the actual entry from the web.config you are using would be a logical start.
