I need to migrate 950 users from a DNN 2.1.2 site to DNN 4.5.1, and am looking for suggestions. The current 2.1.2 site is storing passwords in plain text, so encrypting the passwords shouldn't be an issue (I hope). I did a sql trace using SQL Profiler and saw that it called  the "aspnet_Users_CreateUser", "UpdateUserProfileProperty", and "AddUserRole" procedures. However, some of the data would not display in Profiler because "'password' was found in the text of this event".

If anyone has done this, or is needing to do this, please let me know. I will be happy to share all of my findings with the group.

Thanks,

linque

I found a really nice module that helped me do this. Here's a link to their forum:

It's still beta (as of 05/18/2007), but it worked perfectly for me.
