OK Guys, I've built a whole new DNN site - New db, virtual dir, folders etc.
The site displays and all seems to be just fine.

Set the Host and Admin accounts.

Still CANNOT log in. The system seems to accept the username and pwd but never displays the Admin or Host menus OR the control panel.

The DNN solution even compiles without error in VS2005!

So, what to do?

ALL cookies are accepted. The machine has very few restrictions.
And yes, I've looked in the EventLog with no real info to be had...

PLEASE HELP! This is not normal.

I installed the Source through the installation Wizard. db and virtual folder were all set up properly too.
When prompted, I set the host and admin accounts - ie: username and pwd.

When I look in the log, there is no indication that the login was unsuccessful.
I've always looked at the log through the Admin menu in the site and cannot get to the full explanation/report on any login...(excuse my ignorance if I'm missing the boat here).

If I login using wrong username or pwd, DNN flags the error AND puts a record in the EventLog, however, if I use the propper username and pwd for Host or Admin, it SEEMS to log in but simply goes to the Home page and does not expose/display the Admin or Host menus or the control panel.

Not sure what more to explain. I've reset every cookie setting there is to the least restrictive level too.

ANYONE, ideas! Please!
