Hi,

Currently i've a DNN 4.x application setup on a website in IIS as opposed to a virtual directory. I want to create a virtual directory under the website and place a  simple page under it. However when i try to access the page by typing http://MyApplication/Alias  i get an error, wheren it is seen that the web.config of the parent application comes into picture as opposed to the config file of the application in context. Do i need to place the web.config along with the bin folder of the parent application, into the virtual directory alias as well? Is there any other approach by which i could acheive the same?

Regards

gary

That would be similiar to the issue I blogged about, getting a webservice to run within DNN.

Mainly the following should work

Second, copy the BIN files from the DotNetNuke/bin folder to the webservice/bin folder.

In the webservice web.config file add the following to System.web

<httpModules>

<clear />

</httpModules>
