I'm thinking of something like  fuelmyblog

The purpose is a  fundraising portal for independent smaller efforts which have limited resources to create their own fundraising sites and would be a collaborative effort from members of the Omidyar social network   here

 I'm familiar with basic DNN having  used it to put together a couple of more  conventional  sites and  as a  programmer  experienced in other  development platforms,  willing to attempt extending it.

Other than the above, I imagine I'd need a forms processing module to add and edit new  entries and  a  means of accepting online payments, both of which I know exist within DNN or as purchaseable modules.

I  like how DNN does things,  without being over complex or yeilding the appearance of a blog or fixed CMS application, so can anyone advise on how best to go about this?
