Hello All DNN Documentation people.
Apologies in advance for straight-talking.
Can you please take care to use its and it's correctly? It does label you up as literate or illiterate depending on whether you get this right.
That belonging to it you should express as its. It never takes an appostrophe.
A shorter form of the phrase "it is" should be expressed as it's. The apostrophe marks a point at which a letter has been omitted.
If you don't know which one to use, leave out the appostrophe altogether. The sin of omission is almost forgivable, whereas adding in the incorrect appostrophe is seen as a vain effort to show that you are making a half-hearted attempt to cope with something you obviously have failed to understand.
It isn't dfficult. Why persist in getting it wrong and looking ignorant?
You will find this error occurring frequently in DNN docs. It's an own-goal every time.
Cheers
Dave
