Does anyone know what happened to the what's new module in DNN?  Or can anyone recommend a module that will give users on an intranet site a module that shows all the new items added to the site?

Thanks!

Do you mean in the Supplementary Downloads section? I've always been confused about this section. I've been presuming that the updates to these components have been included in subsequent releases of DNN itself. Is this right?

yes. The items in there are additions that aren't shipped in the normal download (though obviously if the webcontrols get updated we ship the binary). AFAIK In the "whats new" module case it's there as it's not planned to be developed further - it's a simple module that pulls information gleaned from the dotnetnuke search indexer that was added as an example. Other modules such as the reports module can replicate that functionality and are much more powerful as well as having their own project team and dedicated forums.
