I have an ASP-based store front that I'm very happy with.  I'd love to replace it with something that integrates into DNN but find all the current offerings less than satisfactory.  I simply can't wait on Store project anymore.  So, I'd like to continue to use my legacy ASP storefront, which is setup visually similar to my DNN portal.  But at some point, I need to to transfer control from my DNN page to the ASP storefront pages.  I'd like to pass the current DNN user ID into the storefront and automate the store login process so my users don't have to login twice.

Maybe have a link on my DNN page with a link like <a href="http://mystore.com/storelogin.asp?dnnID=3">Enter Store</a>  where dnnID is the DNN User Id of the the current logged in user.  Then the storelogin.asp page could pick that value up from the Query String, and accomplish the rest of the login.   Or is it possible to have an ASPX and ASP application sharing the same Session state?  If so, can I get the userId on the ASPX site stored in a session varialbe and then retrieve that from my ASP script.

Anyone have any suggestions or idea?

Very interesting scenario.

1. On passing Session object between ASP and ASP.NET http://www.eggheadcafe.com/articles/20021207.asp - also look around there for some more information.

2. You can use our module (how modest) VivaIFrame - we just upgraded it to either create an IFrame or a link -and you can use any HTML/CSS combo to create just the look you want for that link (image, button, w/e). You'll be able to pass just about any information about the user - userid, username, email, address, etc. And, if you use the link option, you can set up javascript options to pop-up a window in any format...

Can you, by the way, share with us what storefront you are so fond of? We are all struggling with either overly complicated or underdeveloped or both kind of ecommerce modules...
