Hi Will,

Snowcovered was the original PortalStore. PortalStore is now developed by Richard Cox, and SnowCovered has been customized further, but they are still very simular.

Hey, the Snapsis Domain Names template driven store looks just like the Planet Maine one! :)

We (AspDotNetStorefront ML/DNN) should be coming out of BETA in 1-2 weeks...Yes it's been a long process (actually over a year in development), but working closely with the DNN core team has been extremely helpful and will result in a good integration, and while we do expect it to take a bit of time for the product to fully mature, it is based on our aleady VISA/Mastercard PABP certified ML v7.0 platform.  We've independently tested ML v7.0 with CoalFired Systems to obtain our VISA PABP Certification (part of CISP PCI Compliance), we've tested with Whitehat Security for XSS/SQL Injection/100other hacker attacks/etc. Arian, the founder of Whitehat, used to be the Yahoo! security officer...so there is a lot to the depth of our platform, but it will of course take time to bring all this out to DNN users, but that is our plan.

We're fully certified with Google Checkout, PayPal, will be adding buySafe (bonded buyer protections), adding PayPal PayLater, etc...there are literally a dozen or two features that we are just now still adding.

In the long run, we do plan to actually unify DNN with:

* Accounting + ERP (Inventory systems) + POS (Point of Sale Systems) + CRM systems + E-Commerce + DNN web site portal management...so where we are going, no-one has gone before :) That is what our IS eBusiness version is about, and the only player on the planet with something comparable is NetSuite (on the UNIX side, yuk). Uniting that platform with DNN will be really an eye opener.

That sounds definitely star-treckish (sorry) LOL =) I'm sure it's just the begining of a long journey with the DNN community and we expect to learn a lot from everyone also, as we go along :)

Again, send questions our way. We're glad to try to help.
