I am trying to figure out whether a totally new install should be done on the newer version of DNN or opt for v3.  Is there a compelling reason to choose one over the other.  Right now the DNN does not exist other than on a test server as v3.x.  Any advice would be helpful.

DNN3.2.x and DNN 4.0.x are functionally identical, DNN 4 is developed for ASP.Net2.0 while DNN 3 uses ASP 1.1.
DNN3 modules and Skins will run on both versions and you can develop modules for DNN3 with Visual Studio 2003 and for DNN 4 with VisualStudio 2005. Most stable version is DNN 3.1.1 (not running under ASP:Net 2.0), with nearly same functions as DNN 3.2 (ASP.Net2 compliant.
