Hello,

I think I may be having a stupid question again, but after I explain why, maybe you understand.

I want to put some non-stop shows of myself online, but don't want to overload the server too much, these are radioshows just around 5 hrs. so they are a long sit to listen at, and they are put together as 1 non-stop mix.... but when I want to keep them acceptable to listen to or maybe download them, I need to be sure that the bitrate is high enough.

Here comes my problem, is it possible to add a certain page to your site where you put the media module in for instance, which is only accessible by 10 people at the same time, I don't get that much visitors to my site, because the show is only played in our local hospital, but I am affraid that the moment I say that people can listen to this mix without any talking in between, everybody would want to go there.

I am just curious if this is possible, so please share me your thoughts on this one.

if you want to broadcast, media module is not working, as every user starts his own show. you need some shoutcast server or sth comparable.

I don't need to broadcast it, it's one mp3 encoded from one large wav file..... the mp3 at 320 kbits/s fits on one cd, since it's 671 MB.

I don't want to put this 671 MB file inside the media module, but as a mp3 vbr 102 kbits/s average, this file is still 215 MB, so I created a WMA pro 10 file at 64 kbits/s, which is 135 MB..... I think I want to stream the last file, not broadcasting it, but just stream this file on demand, meaning when a user comes to this certain page he or she will hear this mix immediately.

I am running a radio show inside the hospital and sometimes play these mixes which I prepared earlier on at home, and because it's at the hospital I can play them after a while again, so this mix that I'm planning on playing next wednesday came "on air" for the first time back in 2003 and was repeated every year since then.

I only want to give this a test run and because I don't want to overload the server too much I only want to have 5 or maybe 10 listeners at the same time max.

Sorry about this long story, but maybe people get a better idea why I asked this question earlier on.

btw. how can I put my country underneath my name here?
