hey, am using dnn 3.2.1 version.. i have removed the login dnn control from the ascx file. so now the Login is not coming in the site.
but if someone types www.sitename.com/pagename/tabid/45/ctl/Login/Default.aspx then he can see the login page.. How to avoid it?
Can dotnetnuke provide any security to avoid this?
if firewall is there, can it block such URLs? but thats not an application level security. so how much secure is our dnn?? plz shed some light on this..

DNN is as secure as your passwords are. you cannot prohibit login completely, othewise you cannot edit the site any more.

Application level security doesn't imply never showing a login.  But you could rewrite the login page code to accept login from only your internal IP range.

it's possible to do this via the request filter also e.g. either edit the config file or via the host settings add a rule like so (where the values attribute is changed to your IP)

<rule servervar="REMOTE_ADDR" values="205.196.10.2" operator="NotEqual" action="Redirect" location="http://www.google.com" />
