I'm trying to develop a page where, say in the left pane, I have a list of links that I want to link to internal pages.  I know that I can link to pages, to modules, etc... What I can't seem to figure out is how to display an otherwise hidden HTML/Text module in the same location as what was previously displayed.  So for example, someone clicks on widgetA and in the ContentPane information about widgetA is clicked.  Below that is the link for widgetB and when that is clicked, the page for widgetB is displayed in the same contentPane superceding the previous content.  I would appreciate any pointers.

Thanks in advance

Sam

You will need to create a custom module with two controls. One control that displays the list of links and could act as an edit list for admin to be able to edit the content associated with the link.  This sounds alot like the Knowledgebase module that we have.  In this module you can actually have the Links list on a separate page and it will then take you to the content page.

Take a look here:  http://www.willowtreesoftware.com/Default.aspx?tabid=94&cid=1&sid=2&CatDesc=Portal%20Administration%20Tips%20and%20Tricks

You will see a navigate list that is for categories there. There is also an example where we are showing the Article list as well:

The formatting may not be exactly what you are looking for, but you could get the source as well and go from there.  It might be overkill, but may be more cost effective than trying to build something on your own.

You can find it at Snowcovered. There may be something else there that fits your needs better too. Good luck

Thanks for the pointer.  I seem to remember doing something like this in DNN2.x while I was testing the waters - something about tabid hide/unhide  Did that 'feature' get absorbed somewhere else?  I'll check out the link above and see if that can get me close enough.
