Hi Guys,

I have a module which has the SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer embedded in it. The control is used to server up reports from the SQL Server. The module is very similar to the reports module which comes bundled in with DNN.

However the way in which the report viewer control is rendered is not smooth and the “Please wait generating report” with the nice loading animation is not showing up.

When I run the report in the Reporting Services UI the splash screen with the loading symbol shows up, also when I run the report in Share Point and use the Reporting Services web part the splash screen also shows up.

Having done a bit of investigation looks like it is DNN’s default.aspx and the way it loads the page and injects modules on the page which is causing the problem. Because of the length of time needed for DNN to render each page the Report Viewer's “Loading Splash Screen” never shows up.

I know it’s a small thing for the animation not to showup, but it makes the user feel as if the application is not doing anything and looses user confidence in the app.

Can any one please help?

Kind Regards
