When you add a tab (page) to a DotNetNuke website that copies from an existing page, with some modules copied by reference and others a straight copy - modules will mysteriously disappear. Here is what I have just done:

Scenario

  • Default Install using starter kit 4.5.3
  • No modifications at all
  • Ensure the cache time on text html is 0
  • Add a page called “a”, grant all users read permissions
  • Add a text HTML Module to the left pane (thus the page has 2 HTML modules)
  • Create a page called “b” that copy’s from “a:
  • The first module do a copy by reference
    The second module do by copy
    Again all users read permissions
  • Repeat the process for pages “c”,  “d” and “e”
    Take a look at pages “d” and “e” and I will bet that they are missing a module.

{p.s. Running on a sql express database under casini web server, and have also replicated it under IIS}

Can anyone help me?

You should enter the above scenario in the Gemini Issue tracker as a bug.
