I'm just wondering if anyone out there in DNN land is seeing any return on the Marketplace affiliate program.

I've been in it for a few months now and I haven't seen any results at all.

John,

I have looked at the raw data coming in on the Marketplace and I do not see referals coming from other websites besides DNN.com, the newsletter, and the Solutions Explorer default ID.  I have looked at both the recorded affiliate ID and at the actual raw referer data and they are both consistent.  If you have some time and wish to discuss this I would be happy to look at it further since the goal is not to cheat anyone out of valid referals which result in sales.  Please contact me directly and maybe we can do some offline testing just to be sure there is not a bug somewhere that is causing valid referals to get lost.

One thing I have noticed is that the Affiliate cookie is "last in wins".
In other words, if someone clicks on a tracking link and gets the cookie, but then they later click on a different affiliate's link then the new affiliate ID will be used.

If I understand correctly this may explain some of it because it is very easy for all the DNN "properties" to overpower us little guys.  Clicking on a link in a solution explorer or a banner on this site will switch the referring affiliate to DotNetNuke.

Are you saying that you see no referrals from any other site, or just mine?

Hi guys,

I am not implying anything, but I have not had any referrals, and I have the DNN MarketPlace on the DNN Toolbar, which is used daily by about 50 people - I would have expect some referrals by now (I get some for Snow). That doesn't prove anything of course, but may help somehow...
